What I needed and could not get was the infrastructure around the generation: sending my brand assets once instead of re-uploading them every time, using different headshots depending on the format, and having everything catalogued so I could find what I made three months ago.
The generation was never the problem. The asset management around the generation was.
This turned out to be the pattern across almost every tool in my stack. The hard part was rarely the thing the tool did. It was everything adjacent to the thing it did, and no individual tool was ever going to solve that, because the adjacency was not their job.
