Cybersecurity Intern

Role focus

Help review and strengthen Convia's security practices across the product lifecycle. Although connected to cloud infrastructure, this role is specifically focused on risk, access, authentication, privacy, secure data handling, and the ways systems could be misused or compromised.

Responsibilities

• Assist with threat modeling for product features, integrations, and customer workflows.
• Review authentication, authorization, OAuth, and account-access patterns.
• Examine how customer data, credentials, source content, and generated assets are handled.
• Help identify security risks, estimate their impact, and recommend practical mitigations.
• Review access controls, permissions, secrets, logging, and third-party integrations.
• Support the development of security checklists, policies, and internal documentation.
• Research privacy and security considerations relevant to AI-powered products.
• Assist with incident-response preparation and security-review processes.
• Promote secure development practices across design, development, deployment, and operations.

Ideal candidate

A security-first thinker who is naturally skeptical, detail-oriented, and interested in understanding how systems can fail or be misused. Knowledge of application security, OAuth, cloud security, privacy, or threat modeling is helpful.
