Cloud Engineering Intern

Role focus

Support the infrastructure and services that keep Convia's platform available, secure, and reliable. This role focuses on cloud deployment, observability, scalability, automation, and cost awareness, particularly within Google Cloud Platform and Cloud Run.

Responsibilities

• Support application and service deployments in Google Cloud Platform.
• Assist with Cloud Run configurations, containerized workloads, and related cloud services.
• Monitor application health, logs, performance, errors, and resource usage.
• Help investigate deployment failures, infrastructure issues, and reliability concerns.
• Improve documentation for environments, services, permissions, and release procedures.
• Support CI/CD, testing, and deployment-automation initiatives.
• Review configurations for reliability, scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Assist with environment variables, secrets, service accounts, permissions, and integrations.
• Collaborate with developers to improve operational readiness and reduce avoidable incidents.

Ideal candidate

A systems-minded student interested in cloud platforms, infrastructure, automation, and reliability. Familiarity with GCP, containers, Docker, CI/CD, Linux, networking, or backend services is beneficial.
